The job
Terry's garage had done years of service as storage. The brief was a proper room to work from, warm all year, with a way out to the garden rather than a blank wall.
We took the garage door out and built up the front wall with a new window, fitted French doors to the garden, insulated the floor, walls and ceiling, and ran new electrics and heating. The flat roof was renewed at the same time and a kitchen extension went on next to it.
Six weeks from the first day on site to handover. Terry's review is below, and a family member has since asked us to price their own conversion.
