The short version
Nothing that is not essential runs until you choose. Without your consent the site stores two things in your browser, neither of which is shared with anyone else. With your consent it also loads Google Analytics, and if you accept marketing cookies, the tags that measure our adverts. Here is the full list.

Essential: remembering your choice
When you choose on the cookie banner, the site stores one item in your browser called cmh_consent. It records whether you accepted analytics, marketing, both or neither, and the date you chose, so we do not ask again on every visit. It uses your browser's localStorage rather than a cookie, it is never sent to a server, and it is kept for 12 months. This item is necessary for the site to respect your choice, so it does not need consent.
How you found us
On your first visit the site stores a small first-party record called cmh_attr. It holds the page you arrived on, the address of the site that sent you if there was one, and any campaign tags in the address, such as UTM parameters or the click identifiers that Google and Facebook add to links in adverts. If you arrive from the QR code on one of our leaflets, this is how we know.
This record stays in your browser. No third party can read it and it is not sent anywhere on its own. The only time it reaches us is attached to an enquiry you choose to send, so that we can tell which marketing brings in real jobs. It is not used to identify you across other websites.
Analytics, only if you accept
If you accept analytics cookies we load Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which last up to 2 years and let Google recognise that separate page views come from the same browser. We use the reports to see which pages people read, where they give up, and which pages lead to enquiries. If you refuse, none of this loads and no request is made to Google.
Marketing, only if you accept
Marketing cookies let us measure whether our adverts and leaflets bring people to the site and to an enquiry. If you accept them, Google Tag Manager may load Google Ads conversion tags, which set Google cookies to link a click on one of our adverts to an enquiry on this site. If we add any other advertising pixel in future we will name it in this policy before it is switched on. Marketing cookies are off unless you turn them on, and refusing them does not change how the site works.
Quote pages
The quote pages under /q, which open when you enter the code from a leaflet, are served by our own customer system rather than by this website. When you unlock a quote with your name and mobile number, that system stores an item in your browser so it remembers the quote is unlocked and does not ask you again on the same device. It is used for nothing else.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. The Cookie settings link in the footer of every page reopens the banner, where you can accept everything, keep to essential only, or choose analytics and marketing separately. Or use the button below.
If you withdraw consent, we stop loading Google's tags from then on. Cookies Google has already set may remain in your browser until they expire or you delete them.
Your browser settings
Every browser lets you see and delete cookies and site storage, and block them for particular sites. Look for Privacy or Site data in your browser's settings. If you delete this site's storage, the banner will ask you again next time and your attribution record will start afresh.
