Basements are the one job we will not put a number on without seeing the house. Head height, damp and access change the number too much. We survey, then draw, then price.

Basement conversions: questions people ask
Will a converted cellar be dry?
Yes, if it is waterproofed properly. We use a cavity drainage membrane system with a sump where needed, which carries its own guarantee alongside ours.
Do I need planning permission for a basement?
Converting an existing cellar usually does not, unless you change the outside of the house. Lowering the floor or digging out a new basement is a bigger job that may need an application and a party wall agreement.
